Turns out, they’re probably soap (and there’s a big difference). Soap is made to cleanse your skin, with pH levels that are way too high (and possibly damaging) for hair. At Starre, we don’t cut corners. You’ll never catch us making soap and then slapping on a shampoo sticker. Instead, we’ve carefully blended plant-based ingredients with the optimum pH level for your hair and scalp. Plus, they’re sweet smelling and a little bit lush.

How To Use Your Shampoo Bar:
Wet hair thoroughly, cup the natural shampoo bar in the palm of your hand and massage your scalp until a lather is formed. Rub the lather down the length of your hair. Rinse, enjoy and follow up with our Wonderbar Natural Conditioner Bar.
How To Store Your Shampoo Bar:
Dry your bar after use and keep it in a dry place – away from any running water. This helps it last longer and avoid softening over time. Try to avoid enclosed soap holders (unless travelling). Stored correctly, it’ll last 1 – 3 months (ahem, how many shampoo bottles do you use in that time?)

Will the shampoo bar lather?
Absolutely! Our tried and tested formula of surfactants, emollients and essential oils will produce a very thick and luxurious lather- leaving your hair clean, light and silky-smooth.
What’s the difference between a shampoo bar and soap?
Shampoo bars and soap bars should always be different! Unlike a lot of other shampoo bars on the market, ours are not soap. Soap typically has a pH of 9 – 12, which is good for your skin, but too high for your delicate hair follicles. Our shampoo bars are a concentrated, plant-based formula, with gentle emollients and surfectants that have a PH value of 4 – 5, making it ideal for hair.
How long will my shampoo bar last?
Typically, a shampoo bar will last a lot longer than its bottled rivals. However, the exact time depends on how often you wash your hair, how thick your hair is and how well you store your bars between washes. As a general rule, our bars usually last 1 – 3 months.
